To say the quiet simple life and rice patty fields of Ubud is a stark contrast to Seminyak is an understatement. There are taxis everywhere, tourist are abundant (at all hours) and security is high. Below I've tried to capture the sights of the town; hope you all enjoy!
Traffic on Jl. Raya Seminyak, one of the busiest streets in Seminyak - known for it's high end shopping.

Billboard for Bali Catering Company where I ate (admittedly) more than once. The food was good and very healthy. The chicken obviously was their specialty and it was delicious... for me. As you can see the birds don't agree.
Below: views of Hotel Vila Lumbung. As you'll notice, just a tad different than the bungalow in Ubud.

Coming up the stairs to my room; an extra seating/lounging area
The main room - very spacious.
Views of the Indian Ocean, the beach and a gorgeous sunset.
Yes, unlike Ubud there's sports bars and they show sports all day (European and US).
The deck (sports bar).... a little classier than most joints in the US but still a sports bar nonetheless.
Random sightings:
Deep philosophy reigns supreme in Bali. Below: no truer words have been spoken.
Did I mention in any previous blogs what a GREAT sense of humor the Balinese have? I'm always impressed by sarcasm and jokes by those who do it in a language not their own. A classic example - this wine bar WAHWAH has "4 yr Oral Pleasure" right on the sign (not sure you can see it so clearly here).
And this is the sign just off to the right. Hilarious.
A classic beach restaurant; oddly enough I almost ate there.... it smelled sooooooo good and spanish music was pumping throughout the joint. I also love tacos so walking away from this was really hard.
Ku de Ta - a place to go, relax near the beach and enjoy some lazy time (drinking and attempted book reading). It was awesome.
Outside seating area at Ku de Ta
A nice glass of rose, the ocean and a breeze is my kind of day.
